The Lee Thompson Stull Reminiscences, 1994-1997, consist of the 1994 memoir of Stull, entitled "Normandy and a Tale of Two Letters," regarding his experiences as a glider pilot for the U.S. 101st Airborne Division, including his landing at Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944, and subsequent stint at a German prisoner of war hospital. The typescript also contains a letter to his widow Betsy concerning his memoir in 1997.

Historical note: The First Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division was sent to Vietnam in 1965. It was the third United States Army unit to arrive. In December of 1967, the remainder of the division was deployed to Bien Hoa, South Vietnam in Operation Eagle Thrust. The 101st was the only army division ever airlifted directly into combat. Born in Pennsylvania, Lee Thompson Stull (1923-1997) served as a glider pilot for the United States 101st Airborne Division during the Second World War. After landing at Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944, Stull was taken into custody at a German prisoner of war hospital, released only when allied forces reached the infirmary.
